The NEW Beach Club, Lembongan..


The NEW Beach Club at Sandy Bay, Nusa Lembongan formerly known as Scallywags restaurant has had a total makeover.

In April 2011, the best restaurant on Nusa Lembongan was re-branded and became The Beach Club at Sandy Bay. The changes are evident from when it was formerly Scallywags restaurant, they are subtle but nonetheless very noticeable.


The menu has been streamlined a little from the perhaps overly-long selection previously offered, and there are some great new additions which are great. The drinks list has remained pretty much the same and they still make the best cocktails on the island by a long way, with maybe one of the best views to accompany. The owners do plan to expand the already very impressive wine list.


The new branding looks great and the staff look very smart in their new uniforms. All the well thought through features which made Scallywags such a success remain the same - the beach front infinity pool, daily night time BBQ, and air-conditioned wine cellar.


Scallywags had rapidly become an institution on Nusa Lembongan and Gili Trawangan, and Gili Air, it is clear that in its reincarnation to The Beach Club, things will only get even better.

It is great for Nusa Lembongan to have a restaurant of such quality, and we urge all visitors to pay a visit during their stay on Lembongan.
